We take a first step this week toward defining our conception of change by describing which part of society constitutes a revolutionary property relation in the 21st century. With the industrialized working class long gone as a vehicle for radical change, the underclass of renters takes its place. We dialogue with the theory of the anti-colonial movement, particularly Franz Fanon who also sought to redefine the revolutionary class.
